Tough loss for the North Perth Outlaws vs. the Milton Mavericks 2 team as we just couldn't mustard anything on this night.
The start of the game saw a couple close chances go both ways but the Mavericks took the lead less than 5min into the game. Goalie No. 1 Emmalin McLaughlin did her best against some stiff competition. We had back to back penalties from No. 16 Brayden Parsons and No. 19 Chad Simpson both for High sticking which had our defence stand tall. No. 8 Madeline Ellis, No. 14 Travis Baldwin, No. 3 Blake Elzinga and No. 13 Oliver Sawchuck do their best against a strong Milton team.
Second period was back and forth play which had No. 11 Brayden Ridley, No. 5 Karch Fletcher and No. 7 Bryce Collinson all have good scoring chances. The pressure kept coming but No. 1 Emmalin McLaughlin did her part in keeping this a close game, unfortunately Milton was able to get three goals in this frame.
The last period had the Outlaws pushing back and had good scoring chances by No. 3 Blake Elzinga, No. 9 Jackson Kuepfer and No. 15 Brayden Coverdale. It wasn't enough on this night as the Milton Mavericks 2 took this matchup 5-0.
