Round No. 1 of Georgetown Tournament vs. Halton Hills 2
Friday evening had the first game in the Georgetown Lacrosse Tournament for the North Perth Outlaws going up against the home favourites Halton Hills 2 team.

The first game for the North Perth Outlaws had them against the home team Halton Hills 2.  This team was coming in as a good favourite to make a good run at the championship.  But they certainly were in for a good matchup on this night.

The first period had great back and forth on the seat action from both teams.  No. 1 Emmalin McLaughlin came to play and made back to back saves to get this going.  Not to mention the great defence helping her out was No. 9 Jackson Kuepfer, No. 10 Ryan Heimpel, No. 12 Chloe Eskrick and No. 4 Zoe Verwey.  The Outlaws drew first blood on the first of a couple good passing plays that lead up to a goal. No. 3 Blake Elzinga scored on a great shot beating the Halton Hills goalie.  Assists came from No. 10 Ryan Heimpel, although not on the scoring sheet No. 2 Nolan Vessie, No. 5 Chad Simpson and No. 11 Brayden Ridley all had a helping hand into getting this goal.  Right after this great goal No. 9 Jackson Kuepfer scored on a beauty shot unassisted.  Although Milton was able to get a goal against North Perth, we were able to strike for a third time in the first period.  The third goal came from No. 3 Blake Elzinga on a clear breakaway and he made no mistake.  Outlaws leading 3-1 after first period.

The start of the second period had more back to back action but had Halton Hills able to get one by the North Perth tender less than 3min into the frame.  Then Halton Hills seem to take control of the game scoring three unanswered goals putting them in the lead 4-3 after the second period.

Unfortunately the third period was similar to the second, in Halton Hills were able to score again and never looked back.  The North Perth team showed abit of frustration on some questionable calls against them and took 5 penalties in this frame.  North Perth lost this match against Halton Hills 5-3.

Up next for the Outlaws were a team also looking for their first win of the tournament, the Six Nations 3 team.
