Exciting game in Brantford vs Warriors
This was a great bounce-back game for the North Perth Peewee Outlaws but, unfortunately, they came up just a bit short.

This game was full of great saves and fast scoring chances, not to mention some good physical plays from your Outlaws.

The start of the game saw a very fast Brantford Warriors team catch North Perth off guard as they capitalized with a quick goal less than two minuets into the first frame. The Outlaws tried to get a quick goal themselves and No. 9 Jackson Kuepfer made a great bodycheck to take the ball and go on a breakaway to get a great scoring chance. No. 16 Brayden Parsons and No. 18 Travis Beaven both stood their ground when faced with a strong Warriors offence. No. 1 Emmalin McLaughlin stood on her head making back-to-back-to-back saves, along with key breakaway saves. The Outlaws were unable to get one by the Warriors tender. End of first period: 2-0

The second period saw the Outlaws get on the score sheet by No. 7 Bryce Collinson, who made a sick move to the centre of the house and make a behind-the-back shot and scored. No 1 Emmalin McLaughlin continued to make save after save and keep the Outlaws in the game.  North Perth had some penalties to kill and No, 11 Brayden Ridley, No. 8 Madeline Ellis, No.15 Nathan Coverdale, and No. 12 Chloe Eskrick all stepped up and contributed defensively. End of the second, down 3-1.

The final period had No. 9 Jackson Kuepfer and No. 3 Chad Simpson both have good scoring chance on the power play. No. 16 Brayden Parsons took a quick shot from the top of the house that beat the Warriors tender to make it 3-2 and start the come back. After the face-off the Outlaws decided to make things interesting and poured on some good pressure, again getting multiple saves from No. 1 Emmalin McLaughlin. The Outlaws were able to tie this game up on the power play with a goal from No.15 Nathan Coverdale. Just as it seemed North Perth was going to take the lead, the pesky Brantford Warriors scored two unanswered goals a minute apart to make the game 5-3. This would stand to be too much with no time left.

Unfortunately, the game would finish 5-3 and end with some built-up frustration from the Outlaws.  Remember boys, we meet these guys in Provincials very shortly.

North Perth continues their road trip as they head to Guelph on Wednesday to face another good team in the Guelph Regals.  Good luck!
