Last game of Regular Season a Tough One!
The North Perth Outlaws were on the road to go up against a team also looking to end the season on a high note!

This night seen both ups and downs as the North Perth Pee Wee Outlaws fell short to a tough Guelph Regals team.  The Outlaws had a night where they just couldn't catch a break, from bad bounces to tough defence.

The first period had some good defence from No. 16 Brayden Parsons, No. 11 Brayden Ridley and No. 2 Nolan Vessie.  No. 7 Bryce Collinson had a good rush to try to get on the board but just missed. No. 1 Emmalin McLaughlin stood tall once again as she made key saves to keep North Perth in it.  No. 16 Brayden Parsons showed some good strength looking like a bulldozer on a great rush.  Outlaws ran into penalty trouble in the first, taking 7 penalties.  This meant playing the first period for the most part short handed.  Although playing short handed, the Outlaws came out down 2-0.

Start of the second period found the Outlaws still on the penalty kill.  Goalie No. 1 Emmalin McLaughlin remained alert and made back to back saves.  No. 9 Jackson Kuepfer, No. 15 Nathan Coverdale and No. 8 Madeline Ellis all had good rushes leading to a scoring chance.  Guelph however, seemed to have all the answers on this night.  They took a 4-0 lead at the buzzer.

The last period saw similar penalty trouble for the Outlaws as they took four more penalties.  Eight of which were called for Checking from Behind.  Tough calls to take, and gauging by the fans reactions, some might have been tough calls to take.  The loan goal from the Outlaws came from No. 15 Nathan Coverdale on a great shot while on the power play.  The Regals were able to sneak in one more goal to take the game 5-1.

This was a tough game for the North Perth Pee Wee squad, but now it's onto Provincials Aug 3-5 in Whitby.  First game goes Friday at 1:30pm at McKinny Arena.  Good luck to all!!!  Go Outlaws Go!
