PLAY OFF SCHEDULE
The playoff schedule has been determined by the zone.  In a different approach this year by the zone scheduler, the number of games have been reduced for each team.  There is also the possibility that 'C' and 'D' teams within an organization may play each other; ie Novice 1 and Novice 2, or Midget 1 and Midget 2.  While this possibility has been brought to the attention of the zone scheduler, it was explained during the zone meeting, regular games have to account for something. Focus for clubs has to be on provincial play. They suggested having coaches look up clubs in their division and if they hadn't played each other, set those games up as well as set up games against other zone teams.  Exhibition games will give more practice during the time period between now and provincial play.
Teams may play only one playoff game and be eliminated from further playoffs.  Exhibition games are the only option for further competition before provincials.  Members of the executive have questioned the zone scheduler several times about this and the conclusion is that there will be no changes to the format this year.
Practices will be scheduled right up to Provincials.  Practice times for the end of July will be determined after the next round of playoffs as there are tentative times booked with the zone which must be kept open for further games. Keep checking website!
