OUTLAWS LACROSSE 2013 – General Information
The lacrosse season generally runs from early April to early August. We start practicing in early April and games typically start the first week of May and run until mid July.  There are usually 2 weeks of zone playoffs and then the Provincial tournament is held in Whitby from August 2-11.  Usually all of our rep teams attend the provincial tournament.  Each division is scheduled to play 3 days during the tournament.  Please see the newsletter for tentative dates.
We are in Zone 8 of the Ontario Lacrosse Association.  The other centres in our zone are Brantford, Milton, Owen Sound, Centre –Wellington, Arthur, Guelph, Cambridge and Kitchener-Waterloo. Typically we have 1 practice and 1 game per week (Monday –Thursday evenings) with a 10-12 game schedule.  Depending on how all the teams are rated (A-E) we may play all of the centres in our zone or just some of them.  Due to the travelling distance of some of the centres that we play, we may schedule double header games on Saturdays in a halfway point arena (eg  we played a double header with Milton in the Arthur arena).   Currently we practice and play home games in the Howick and Wingham arenas.   Registration includes an individual picture, team picture and the provincial tournament (except Paperweight).  Any additional tournaments that the teams choose to enter are not included in registration.
