Girls Lacrosse!!!
Submitted By Amy Burkholder on Sunday, March 14, 2021
As we all know this year is like no other and the Outlaws want to give all players a fun and safe lacrosse experience. Knowing that roster sizes will be less due to covid protocols and Ontario Lacrosse guidelines, we are hoping to have girls box lacrosse teams at all age groups.

We experienced good growth in our association over the last couple of seasons with many boys and girls playing the sport for the first time and even saw both our Bantam and Midget teams win provincial championships in the 2019 season. We want to give more youth in Huron-Perth and area the opportunity to try "the fastest sport on two feet". With there being no contact this year, and potentially less travel, and cost, it is a great year to start and try lacrosse and be with all girl teams and make friends along the way.  We have seen strong growth in the number of female players playing lacrosse in our association and in our zone, and hope to see that continue this year.

The Ontario Lacrosse Association is promoting and trying to grow the girls box lacrosse game this summer, and the North Perth Outlaws want to do their part to help grow the sport for girls as well. If you are interested in playing girls box lacrosse this summer, please preregister by using the link above. There is no cost at this time. There is a section at the bottom for girls only to be selected. Preregistration closes on March 19, and we will determine at that time whether we will be offering girls teams, how many, and at what age groups. We will also be making decisions with regards to season structure and game play.  Please help spread the word to any potential girls/players, that you may know. We also offer co-ed teams at all age groups, as well as a 6 week skills and drills program for those wishing to try the sport without a full summer commitment.  Skills and drills is another option to select in the age group offerings on the preregistration page.

Feel free to check our website, facebook, and instagram.  Our executive is willing to answer any questions you may have.  You can direct your questions about girls lacrosse to Karly Dannemann (Email:[email protected]m).

Thank you,
North Perth Executive
