Girls Box Lacrosse Program Update
After collecting preregistrations, having our executive meeting Tuesday night, and speaking with families that preregistered for girls lacrosse, the North Perth Outlaws are pleased to announce that we will be moving forward with  girls box lacrosse, as part of our local lacrosse league.  It was under consideration to operate our female teams independently, but to ensure more game play and variety in game play, as well as keeping participation within our health unit, it was decided that girls teams could be formed and participate within our coed league.

Dependent upon final registration numbers, we will operate girls teams within our local coed no contact leagues.  Where numbers allow, female players will be placed on the same team along with 3 coed teams per bubble.  Their team would practice together, but share the floor with a coed team.  For games they will play no contact lacrosse against coed teams of a similar age.  Coaches will be encouraged to work together to ensure game play is as even as possible.  Players may need to play outside their regular age group to make numbers work, and help balance teams. Female players may also choose to play on a coed team.  We feel that this is the best plan for this current season, and will position us well to offer a stronger girls program next summer.

Registration will open soon.  We are currently awaiting decisions to be made by the OLA, before we officially open the registration process.  Most 2021 registration details can be found on our registration page, on our website.

We are always looking to add more female players to our program, and appreciate any help we can get finding more players.  Please direct any friends who may be interested to our website so they can inform themselves on our girls lacrosse program.  Feel free to provide feedback or ask questions by contacting our president, Amy Burkholder at [email protected]

Thank you for your interest in girls lacrosse.  We appreciate your patience as we prepare for the start of the 2021 lacrosse season.
