Step 2 = Game On! - Registration remains open
It was great to see everybody at our lacrosse training sessions this past week.  The executive would like to thank all players and families for being patient and understanding as we rolled out our Return to Activity program.  It was a big learning curve for everybody, but the fun had by players made it worth it.  Following OLA guidelines, and Ontario's step 1 of the reopening plan, we will continue with small group training sessions this week at the soccer fields in Howick.  Please watch the website and social media for any cancellations regarding weather.

The province is set to move to step 2 on Wednesday June 30.  The Ontario Lacrosse association has already updated their Return to Play documents which will allow us a much smoother transition into step 2.  We will continue with our outdoor programs, player limits will be increased and we can begin scrimmages and games.  Games must be modified to avoid contact.  Masks must still be worn, unless participating in practice or games.  Spectator seating is now open to 25% of the usual seating capacity, but with the difficulty of determining seating capacity in outdoor venues, we will be maintaining the previous rule of one parent/guardian per player, for now.  You can find the updated OLA documents in our main RTA section.

With current registration numbers, we are sticking to our original local league plan for step 2.   We will maintain our cohorts for U22/U17, U15/U13, U11/U9, and paperweight age groups.  Each cohort will be divided into teams, and each team will have one practice and one game per week.  For more information on our original local league plan please click on the following link.  Note that with step 2 of the reopening plan, we will be advancing to stage 4 of our original RTA plan.(Please disregard any reference to the old colour framework) https://northperthoutlaws.ca/Pages/2220/2021_League_Modifications/

We will use the modified rules in our original RTA, but may adjust if provincial and OLA guidelines require/allow it.  You can review our modified rules by clicking the link below.  Please note that rules may be further modified as the season progresses.  https://northperthoutlaws.ca/Pages/2217/Modified_Rules_2021/

When the province moves to step 3 of the reopening plan and once OLA guidelines are determined for that step, we will adjust our season plan accordingly.    It is the goal of the Outlaws to provide every player with a fun and challenging experience that promotes development and a healthy lifestyle, while keeping everybody safe.  We will do our best to remain flexible and provide variety in game play over the course of the summer as we progress through the reopening of the province.

We continue to accept registrations at this time.  With the increase in player limits, games soon to begin, and knowing that several local summer sports associations have cancelled their 2021 season, we want to accommodate anyone looking to play lacrosse this summer.  If you or someone you know wants to register, please click the link below to take you to our registration page.  https://northperthoutlaws.ca/Pages/1469/Registration/

All players new to lacrosse will receive a new stick once payment is received at their first training session.  Before attending your first training session, please read the following article. https://northperthoutlaws.ca/Articles/2396/Before_You_Hit_The_Field/

Again, we would like to thank everybody for their cooperation, help, patience, and understanding, as we do our best to deliver a 2021 lacrosse program that everyone can be proud of.Thank You!North Perth Outlaws Lacrosse
