Final 3 weeks of Lacrosse
The North Perth Lacrosse Association executive would like to announce that a decision has been made and the final 3 weeks of the 2021 season will remain outdoors.  We would like to thank all members for their feedback as this was a major factor in coming to a decision.  The executive's focus will now shift to ensuring that the last 3 weeks of the summer finish strong, as we begin to prepare for next season, including the reintroduction of our rep programming.

Our timbits paperweight program concludes on Wednesday August 11 with a Fun Day for our youngest players.  Please feel free to come out and support them as they show off the skills they have developed during the course of the 8 week program.  We would like to thank Tim Hortons Listowel for their support of our paperweights.  All players received their very own Outlaws shirt supplied by Tim Hortons.

We would also like to give a huge thank you to our paperweight coach and lead instructor Kyle Machan.  Having a coach with his experience has really helped the players improve and have fun. We hope to see you all back playing lacrosse next summer.  And be sure to spread the word and tell all your friends how much fun it is to play Canada's national summer sport. We would also like to thank all of our coaches as well as our volunteers who have helped make this season a possibility for the players.  The laughter and excited voices of the kids heard during practices and games is a sign of success.  Transitioning to outdoor play with changing rules and restrictions has not been easy on everybody, but with all the positive feedback that has been received, we are quite pleased with how our season has gone to this point.  It has been great to see the teamwork and improved communication between our coaches and officials.  This sets an excellent example for all of our players.  Not only are players having fun but they are all improving at a significant rate.  Although North Perth Lacrosse will be relaunching our rep program next year, we will consider running a similar local league next summer in addition to our rep program.  In order to do that we will need more new players and volunteers to help ensure the program is as good, if not better than this summer.   With many players choosing to wait out this summer for more traditional rep programming, we do anticipate a big jump in numbers next year, and hope to offer programming that will satisfy the various needs of our members.  We will be looking to run our try lacrosse clinics again in February and March to generate even more interest in Outlaws lacrosse, and give new players the chance to try the sport before committing to registering for a full season. If you would like to help host a clinic in your community or if you have someone that would like to be included in our email mailing list to be notified of any clinics or 2022 registration information please contact [email protected].

As we enter the final 3 weeks of the 2021 season it is important to continue to be patient and understanding, while communicating clearly with each other.  We need to remind ourselves that we must all continue to work together and follow protocols in place.  With that in mind, please ensure that you continue to prescreen, sign in, and wear a mask at all events.  If you invite someone to watch your player in action, please clearly communicate our expectations of spectators.  Remember that this season is all about the players' enjoyment and let's finish the season strong.  We strongly encourage everybody to spread the word and help us both strengthen and grow the sport of lacrosse in our area.  We hope to be bigger and better next year.

Thank you
Go Outlaws!
