1. The North Perth Lacrosse Association (hereinafter referred to as ‘NPLA’) is creating this
Refund Policy as a result of the uncertain times due to Covid-19 and to act as a general
outline. NPLA is further creating this Refund Policy as a requirement by the Ontario
Lacrosse Association (hereinafter referred to as ‘OLA’) and to provide transparency to
it’s members. All amounts, percentages and dates set out herein are subject to change
at the sole discretion of NPLA after taking into account any unforeseen circumstances.
2. NPLA shall divide its season into 2 segments or tiers. The first tier shall run from April
19, 2021 to May 31, 2021. The second tier shall run from June 1, 2021 to no later then
August 15, 2021.
3. NPLA shall require all players to pay a fee for each tier prior to the start of such tier.
4. The fee per player per tier shall be calculated by costs divided by the number of pre-
registered players.
a. For Tier 1, the costs shall include, but are not limited to, OLA player insurance,
Peloton costs, any other OLA costs, anticipated costs of arena rentals,
anticipated costs of referees, anticipated costs of supplies, and anticipated
administrative costs.

b. For Tier 2, the costs shall include, but are not limited to, anticipated costs of
arena rentals, anticipated costs of referees, anticipated costs of supplies, and
anticipated administrative costs.
c. If a player wishes to play in Tier 2 only, they will be required to pay the Tier 1 fee
only.

5. All teams under the NPLA will be playing in arenas within the boundaries of the Huron-
Perth Health Unit. So long as Huron and/or Perth Counties are classified green, yellow
or orange within the Covid-19 System, teams will be able to practice and play as
scheduled. If either or both such Counties move to red or grey categories, all play must
stop until such County returns to green, yellow or orange.
6. During Tier 1, if NPLA is required to stop play due to colour change, refunds will take
place as follows, by cheque only;
a. On or before April 26, 2021, players will receive 50% of the Tier 1 fee;
b. On or before May 17, 2021, players will receive 25% of the Tier 1 fee;
c. If play is stopped but resumes within the Tier 1 time period, no refund will be
issued;
d. If at any point during Tier 1 a player (or parent/guardian) decides they will no
longer wish to play or to resume playing due to Covid-19 concerns, there will be
no refund issued.

7. During Tier 2, if NPLA is required to stop play due to colour change, refunds will take
place as follows, by cheque only;
a. On or before June 14, 2021, players will receive 60% of the Tier 2 fee;
b. If play is stopped but resumes within Tier 2, no refund will be issued;
c. If at any point during Tier 2 a player (or parent/guardian) decides they will no
longer wish to play or to resume playing due to Covid-19 concerns, there will be
no refund issued;
d. If a player did not register for Tier 1 and is only participating in Tier 2, and play is
stopped on or before June 14, 2021, they will receive 40% of the fee.
8. The NPLA will hold refunds from each player until all property of NPLA is returned
including, but not limited to, jerseys, pinnies, and goalie equipment.
