Game 2
The Intermediates playing their second game this week lost another close low scoring game to Guelph 4-2. Taking the lead on Sunday Salters powerplay goal early in period one, the Intermediates were of to a good start. Tight defense from both teams kept the shot totals low for most of the game.

Guelph's precision passing combined with a momentarily defensive lapse allowed Guelph's forward to get one passed goalie Ben Underwood after receiving a pass on the crease. North Perth would regain the lead one minute later on some aggresive forechecking from Cory Paulitzki who stripped the Guelph ball carrier and passed to Daniel Kemp who faked the goalie and deposited the ball into the empty net.

Outlaws would take the lead into the second frame but would be denied the rest of the game. Guelph scored 3 unanswered goals in the final two periods to take the win. With tempers running high and the game on the line Pieter Johnston and Guelph's Kallen Strendriary squared off for a friendly tilt which resulted in 5 minute fighting and game misconduct penalties. North Perth would take some undisciplined penalties late in the game making a comeback seem impossible. North Perth welcomes Owen Sound next Wednesday May 23 at 8:00pm.
