Jun 14th vs Owen Sound Win 6 - 4
Tonight our Outlaw Bantam1 team hosted Owen Sound, but not in our usual home but at the Howick arena.
Out of the gate early again to take an early lead was Mitch Deelstra scoring just 14 seconds into the game. This goal held up as our Outlaws took a 1-0 lead into the second. The second period penalty troubles struck as our boys lined up to take their turn sitting in the penalty box. This allowed Owen Sound to not only tie the game up but take the lead scoring at the 8 and 7 min mark. With 5:38 to play in the period Braeden Ellis tied the game at two, however it was short lived as Owen Sound regained the lead at the 4 minute mark to take a 3-2 lead into the 3rd. The 3rd period belonged to our Outlaws as Rhys Vollmer netted 2 at the 13 and 8 minute mark. Assisting on one of the goals was Curtis Jackson. Owen sound attempted a come back by netting their last goal at the 5 minute mark before Mitch Deelstra put he game out of reach at the 2 minute mark with assists going to Michael McAskill and our goalie Brock Baier to claim our first victory of the season.
