Outlaws Up To The Task Against Owen Sound Stars
The Owen Sound North Stars made the trip South to the North Huron Wescast Community Complex on Wednesday, in hopes of getting some redemption from their last meeting just over a week ago.

Wednesday night saw two highly skilled teams go back and forth with The Outlaws getting the "W".  This game was both fast paced and rough, with the Outlaws taking a total of 22 minuets in penalties.  That being said, the Outlaws struggled in the first period with time of possession.

Owen Sound was able to get the only goal of the first period as the Outlaws couldn't mustard much offence.  Netminder No. 1 Zoe Verwey played a great half game making key saves and only allowing one goal.  No. 13 Oliver Sawchuck, No. 8 Madeline Ellis and No. 9 Jackson Kuepfer all had key plays in the first period.  From great hustle to standing tall on defence.

The second period had the Outlaws getting on the board at the 5:30 marker with No.Brayden Parson getting the goal and No. Emmalin Mclaughlin and No. 2 Nolan Vessie getting the assists on the this goal.  The Outlaws would strike two more times in the second period with Goals from No. Bryce Collinson and No. 3 Blake Elzinga. Helping to get those goals were No. 15. Nathan Coverdale, No. 6 James Bridges, No. 4 Chad Simpson and No. 12 Chloe Eskrick.  Hustle was visible in the second with multiple Players stepping up to remind this North Stars team just what this Outlaws team can do.

Going into the third period the Outlaws stepped it up a notch and gave everything they had.  All players made great plays both offensively and in our own end, making sure that this North Stars team didn't get anything to the net.  No. 3 Seth Teatero kept this Outlaws team into the game making key saves in this period.  The game winning goal ended up coming from your Captain No. 3 Blake Elzinga scoring back to back goals to take the lead and never looked back.   The North Stars were able to sneak one by the Outlaws goalie but it just wasn't enough.  No. 14 Talis Baldwin, No.10 Ryan Heimpel and No, 8 Madeline all made simple plays throughout this game that kept this North Stars team thinking of how to get past our defence.

Although a tough game, The Outlaws came out on top with the win!

Get ready for a great day tournament Sunday June 10th in Stayner.  As the Outlaws get ready to show everyone at the tournament just what kind of team they are moulding into.  First game is at 11:00am.  Come on out and enjoy and cheer on your Outlaws!
